We need more Bob’s in the world!

I’m a big proponent of encouraging others and exhorting people in who they are; their gifts and callings on their lives, and so have become extremely aware of how much lack there is in this area. Or maybe, because I experienced such lack myself, that I have become the person I wish I would have had in my own life.

Either way, I have become that person, and love to build others up and am always trying to find ways to see the gold in people. I once heard it said this way: “Go beneath the rock, and dig until you find the gold”, because it is too easy to see the rubble in other people’s lives, which leads only to judgement…not good.

God’s been speaking to me about unity, what it means to be a part of the family of God and the struggle to stay unified as the body of Christ. There is a war over keeping households in tact; including the church which is the family of God. Division longs to creep in and tear families a part, and we must be aware and identify this otherwise we will not be able to overcome this spirit that hates oneness which is exactly what Jesus prayed for.

“That they may be one”.

We are all one part of the body….only a part. While one is the foot, the other the ear, and another the eye. We need each other. We HAVE to learn to work together. We need to help one another, give support and help strengthen each other through encouragement.

I needed that yesterday, and God sent, whom I’ll call “Bob” to be just that. “Bob” came to me and with words, gave me courage to keep doing what God has called me to do. I was so thankful to God, but also thanked Bob for taking the time to come and speak with me.

Let’s be more like Bob! Let’s awaken together to the desperate cry for love and encouragement, and be the one that helps lift the spirit of another toward their purpose and create a pathway for wholeness.

May you know the unique call of God on your life and may His Spirit guide you and give you courage to walk the steps He has ordained for you.

xoxo
